EU Regulation 552/2009 (previously EU Directive 2005/69)
(REACH Annex XVII) restricts the marketing and use of certain polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) in extender oils in tyre production. Tyres produced after 1 January 2010 will have to comply with the Regulation requirements.
