Food contact articles
The Council of Europe launched in 1994 an intensive programme to list
the authorised substances for use in finished rubber articles coming
into contact with foodstuffs.
ETRMA Members manufacturing such products e.g. teats, toys, rubber
seals, … have been contributing in this activity since its beginning
to bring their vast experience to the debate.
The Resolution ResAP(2004) on rubber products intended to come into contact with foodstuffs was adopted by the Council of Europe on 1 December 2004.
ETRMA will continue monitoring the influence on new European legislations that could directly or indirectly impact manufacturing of food contact rubber articles.
